I have been on a smoothie kick. Why it has been during the coldest month of the year is a mystery to me. Regardless, when my mom let me have a box of Shakeology mixes I immediately got excited figuring out ways to make each smoothie taste differently. My favorite so far has been this Oatmeal Cookie Smoothie. It tastes like a milkshake in the morning without being too over the top sweet.
You’ll need a pack of vanilla protein powder (I use Shakeology), a large scoop of peanut butter, a dash of vanilla extract, 1/4 cup Old Fashioned oats, milk & water to make it.
Add about 12 ice cubes to a blender and combine all ingredients with them. Blend & you have breakfast that will keep you full all morning (seriously – I didn’t believe it at first either.)
