Find of the Week: KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment

Despite the excessive amounts of chips and queso I consumed throughout tonight’s dinner, I have generally been trying to eat healthier recently. So, during my routine Sunday meal planning, I decided to break out the generous gift my roommate gave me for my birthday back in March. Little did I know the KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment would be such a game changer.

I bought 4 zucchinis from Trader Joe’s thoroughly expecting to spend an hour trying to figure out how to transpose them from cylindrical lumps to perfectly spiraled noodles. Much to my surprise, with the attachment in place, I had Monday’s meal prepped in less than 10 minutes!

The attachment screws right in to the front branding token of the mixer. You then have the option of picking one of the four attachments which are specific to noodling veggies, peeling potatoes, coring apples and everything in between. The process was painless and quick and left little to no mess to clean up. The zoodles lasted perfectly over night and were so delicious that Monday mixed with mushrooms, spinach, andouille chicken sausage and fresh marinara.

{I thought I would be able to insert my video of spiraling here – but alas, wordpress is trying to charge me in order to do so. ugh.}

I can tell you right now this attachment is going to become a regular. Whether I am looking to add some fun to my lunchbox with shaved apples or venture into sweet potato noodles, I cant wait to see what else this thing has to offer!
